I’m Astha Jain, an Advocate, working at the intersection of law, technology, and digital strategy.

My work spans technology law, data protection, digital compliance, and the broader questions that arise as businesses build, communicate, and grow online. I enjoy translating complex legal and technical concepts into practical solutions—whether that’s helping organisations understand regulatory obligations, shaping digital products, or creating content that makes emerging technologies more accessible.

Alongside my legal practice, I work with Ariham Technologies, where I contribute across legal advisory, digital strategy, thought leadership, and product development.

At Ariham Technologies, I work on ensuring that digital products and services are built with legal compliance from the ground up — covering privacy policy requirements, consent mechanisms, terms of service, and regulatory alignment with Indian law.

Technology & Open Source

Technology has been a significant part of my journey long before law.

I’ve been actively involved in the WordPress open-source ecosystem for several years, contributing as an organiser, volunteer, speaker, and community leader. Through initiatives like WordCamp Bhopal, EmpowerWP, WP Build Tour, and community programmes across Madhya Pradesh, I’ve worked towards making technology more accessible while strengthening local developer communities.

Advisory and consulting

I advise startups, agencies, and individuals on navigating India’s digital regulatory landscape — particularly around the DPDP Act, website compliance, and data handling obligations. I am especially well-placed to help organisations in the WordPress and broader open-source ecosystem understand their legal responsibilities.
